Buying a new car can be a stressful time for drivers, especially if they don't know exactly what they want from a new vehicle. While performance and space are important, there are plenty of other options to consider when you're going to be searching for a vehicle. Regardless of the trim level you choose of the GMC Acadia, there is a touchscreen display with IntelliLink®, which lets you use your device without having to take your hands off of the wheel. Also standard on all trim levels of the 2018 GMC Acadia is OnStar® 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi® hotspot, which you can experience when you take the 2018 GMC Acadia for a test drive at McCurry-Deck Motors in Forest City, NC.

Features and performance on the 2018 GMC Acadia

When most drivers are looking for a new SUV, they want something that is powerful with high-performance. The 2018 GMC Acadia has two different engine options across four different trim levels. No matter what you're looking for when it comes to performance, one of the available engines will likely fit your needs. The standard engine option is a 2.5L four-cylinder that produces 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. This engine is also fuel efficient with 23 mpg combined fuel economy and start/stop technology, which shuts off the engine when power isn't needed, so gasoline isn't wasted. If you want a vehicle that has more power and only slightly lower fuel economy, the other option is the 301 horsepower, 271 pound-feet of torque 3.6L V6 engine, which is available on the SLE-2 and FWD SLT-1 trims, and standard on the AWD SLT-1, SLT-2 and Denali options.

Another important aspect of a new SUV is the interior space. Drivers who opt for an SUV are likely looking for a vehicle that has plenty of room for passengers and cargo alike. Depending on the trim level you choose, the 2018 GMC Acadia has room for between 6 and 7 passengers. The SL and SLE-1 models have two seats in the third row, three seats in the second row, and two seats in the front. With the SLE-2, SLT-1, SLT-2, and Denali, there are a total of six seats, with two in each row. No matter what the passenger space is, there is still plenty of room, with 41 inches of front row legroom, 39.7 inches in the second row, and 31.1 inches of legroom in the last row. In addition to the passenger space, there is also plenty of room for cargo. With all three rows of seats up, there are 12.8 cubic feet of cargo volume, which increases to 41.7 cubic feet behind the second row, and a maximum cargo volume of 79 cubic feet when the back two rows are folded down.
